PGS offer a range of certification options:
All delegates who undertake PGS training receive a Certificate of Attendance; in addition those who successfully complete a qualifying workshop are awarded the PGS Gas Safety Passport and additionally have the option of gaining an EAL CVA or Vocational Qualification (VRQ) .

GAS Safety Passport
The Passport Scheme & Training complies with HSE INDG381
Membership of the scheme is open to all companies wishing to identify delegates who have achieved a required standard of learning through gas safety training. Passports are validated for 3 years post training after which we recommend refresher training.
Passports can be customised to include:
- Company Logo
- Individual delegate’s photograph
Advantages
- Immediate identification of trained employees & contractors moving between departments & sites.
- Demonstrates achievement with readily accessible records of training, subjects, attendance & renewal dates.
Qualifying Criteria
The delegate must complete a qualifying Workshop or Module (Classroom session plus Practical session where applicable) & achieve the required standard of learning.
EAL Certificate of Verified Achievement (EAL CVA)

EAL provide 76% of all vocational qualifications in the engineering and technology sectors. For those companies requiring employee achievement to be Certificated by a major UK Awarding Body, EAL CVA’s can also be awarded to those delegates who achieve the standard required for the PGS Gas Safety Passport. EAL Certificates are an optional extra to
Vocationally Related Qualifications (VRQs)
Proactive Gas Safety is approved by EAL as a VRQ Centre
Until recently no formal qualification existed to allow users to have recognition of the knowledge and practices required for the safe use of cylinder and cryogenic gases. To address this, working alongside EAL, PGS developed these qualifications which are now on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF)

Who is this qualification aimed at?
- Any person who wishes to hold a nationally recognised qualification in this important topic.
- An ideal unit for apprentices or companies running apprentice schemes.
- Award in Mobile Oxy-Fuel Gas Equipment Inspection
Who is this qualification aimed at?
- Distributors and agents of compressed gases and equipment who wish to hold a Vocationally Related Qualification in the inspection of mobile oxy-fuel gas equipment.
